Demystifying Your Diagnosis: Isises & Osises

Have you ever been given a diagnosis? How did it feel? Did you completely understand what was causing your condition and how to go about treating it (not the symptom, but the cause itself)? Afterwards, did you feel scared, confused, and/or helpless about your condition, or did you feel confident, empowered, and able to treat it yourself? Well as much as I'd like to think it was the later, the sad truth is that the majority of the time people experience feeling the prior. That's partially because most health practitioners are terrible at explaining the diagnosis in terms most can understand (or don't know themselves), and partially due to patients not asking better questions (or any questions at all). My goal today is to make sure that never happens to you again. So that next time you hear words like arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, or scoliosis thrown around, you just smile and laugh. Knowing full well that that you have the wherewithal to cure any of them on any given day.

Overall though, if you take away only one thing from this post let it be this, "It's natural to fear and avoid what you do not understand. So for your bodies sake, please be like an annoying two year old and ask WHY until you get an answer you understand." Posture Guy out!

I look forward to hearing from and hopefully collaborating with you soon. Until then...

Take care and keep moving,

P.S. If you can think of anyone else that could benefit from these video posts and learning about the importance of posture and it's overall health benefits I know they (as well as myself) would really really appreciate you passing this on to them. So please join me in helping rid the world of chronic pain and poor posture by spreading the word.

This is not just in the medical field. It is the same in a lot science.

"What causes the apple to fall from the tree?"

"Gravity." [i.e., the tendency of things to be attracted toward the Earth or other massive object]

They just repeat the same thing back to you, in fancier terms, and act like they understand something you don't.
