Zverev proved in 2021 that he has a new level of self belief to match the improvement in his strokes. His backhand is powerful, consistent, and stays quite low which doesn't give the opponent many opportunities to attack. The serve looks likes it coming from the 2nd floor balcony so it is very hard to deal with. He's just tough to beat these days.

From the recent performance, from this ATP final, I can see Zverev and Medvedev have grown up, have outperformed their peers. Djokovic still maintains his high standard, but his age does not help, fans have to accept the fact that the young generations will take over sometime.

Both Zverev and Medvedev are now able to defeat Djokovic, sometimes. They both have monster first serves, which guarantee them to be almost impossible to be broken. It's a bit annoying (and unspectacular) when a player relies so much on the serve to win that many points, but what can we do about it. Congrats to them both, they'll win some GS in 2022 almost for sure.
