Upgrades, Real Results: Hilux Built to Work

In this video, I’m back with a deep dive into our upgrade of the 2011 Hilux. If you’ve seen the initial walkaround with the owner, you already know we set the foundation. Now, we've added a bunch of upgrades: from a PIAK bumper and T-Max 12,000 lb winch to a 3-inch Dobinson lift paired with 35” tires. This build isn’t just about making it taller – it’s about creating a balanced, capable 4x4 that still drives like stock, even with the bigger tires.

I’ll break down each mod, explain why we chose them, and highlight some custom work, including our in-house diff drop kit. There’s also some insight into the owner’s unique setup, like a canopy-turned-dog-crate with A/C for his Belgian Shepherds, and some considerations for future upgrades like rear lockers and disc brakes.
