The subcontinent of Eurasia (Europe) is mostly considered a continent in its own right because of its great physical size and the weight of its history and traditions. Europe is commonly considered to be separated from Asia by the watershed of the Ural Mountains, the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus Mountains, the Black Sea and the waterways of the Bosphorus Strait. European culture is the root of Western civilisation, which traces its lineage back to ancient Greece and ancient Rome. The fall of the Roman Empire and the subsequent Migration Period marked the end of Europe's ancient history, and the beginning of the Middle Ages. Renaissance humanism, exploration, art, and science led then to the modern era we all are currently.

Hi from Ireland, thank you very much for including us! There are two distinct styles of solo traditional Irish dancing - step dancing which is virtuosic but more formal, and sean nós dancing, which is more relaxed and semi-improvised. Within sean nós dancing, there are many different approaches. There are also many variations between Céilí & set dancing in groups. I applaud your efforts & look forward to seeing more!

I didn't realise just how many different places these kinds of dances came from! I'm from Australia and a lot of the time i see dances like these irl it turns out it's often a mixture of four or five countries styles. Which is a very Australia thing, mixing cultures like that, although it does make for some nice surprises when you find out just where particular dance moves or styles come from. ❤ Keep dancing everyone
