Testing an Emergency LED Light Bulb: JackonLux Review, plus Q&A!

Testing out the popular JackonLux Emergency LED Light Bulb, plus a short Q&A at the end. Also the bulb isn't actually "powered" by your fingers (sorry if that sounded like click-bait!) but your fingers can be used to activate the battery feature.

I love James there’s something about him that never changes which I find very comforting

James doing his question and answering. Bailey in the background going to the bathroom in the corner.
Seeing Bailey even if she's blurry in the background is always the best part of James's videos.

Great video. I got one of these lights about 5 year’s ago. It even had solar panels on the bottom white part so you could charge it with a/c or solar. It worked for a couple of years until the battery would no longer hold a charge. By the way, I think your dog found his spot at 6:19 - laughed my donkey off!

GE makes one of these with a physical switch on the bulb. Bought one from Target a few years ago. So if you want one from a known brand that can be had locally, that’s an option. They’re around $15.

Oh man, I got two and I love them! They produce so much light and they come in handy when the power goes out or when I just need bright overhead light in my kitchen.

Back in the early 90's, I used to get plastic light bulbs at a candy and party store. It didn't use any batteries, but would light up if you touched the two circles on the bottom. I would put them in sockets and they worked perfectly fine. If they weren't pink or blue, you wouldn't know they were "hand powered" bulbs. They were also about two dollars.

Thanks for all your reviews, we really enjoy them and find many of them very useful.

I bought them sometime last year. When the power went out, the lamps with the emergency bulbs stayed on. These are a great invention. I will be giving them away for Christmas gifts this year.

That reminds me of the uncle Fester lightbulb that ran by a double a battery that I got in the 70s. You stuck the bulb in your mouth and the bulb light up.

I've seen these and wondered if they actually worked. Thanks for this!

I've watched a fairly large number of reviews, both products and others, mainly music. As far as product reviews go, yours are, to me, the most enjoyable to watch. I make a distinction between household products and 'working products', such as the things Project Farm reviews.
Your channel, and Project Farm are the *only* product review channels that I sub to.
Great job, please keep them coming.

Hubby and I are hooked on your reviews! We are relatively new to your reviews. Just started watching on our Roku last March. You have a great presence, soothing. Lol. Very easy to watch.

I am an electrician, just shove some wires in the second receptacle and when the breaker trips the power is back on. no need for a second lamp lol. Or use a jumper from neutral to both phases, but then you might trip a main or burn your house down, depends how qualified you are. btw a flashlight works pretty well too.

Hi from Southern California. I have these, plus a slightly different one that allows you to select the brightness when using it as an emergency light (dimmer light extends its life). They are great and I even gave them as Christmas gifts.

Just put them in lamps you regularly turn on so they remain charged. When there is a power outage you have light for several hours.
