Supreme Court deals major blow to unions

The Supreme Court, in a case that could shake the financial structure and future of public sector unions, struck down an Illinois law that required non-union workers to pay fees that go to collective bargaining.

As someone who works for the state I’m glad!!! No one should be forced to pay into a union - they should ASK for the fees and work hard for workers to contribute... the union feels entitled to these fees and treat you like crap... now they’ll have to work hard to get workers to become members

When I was young, unions were strong and American workers received a good living wage. Now, unions are weak, and people are struggling to get by with multiple part-time jobs. My daughter worked for UPS, and thought her Teamster Union dues were more than compensated for by the good wage and benefits she received. This decision will hurt working people, and is another example of how Gorsuch works against the American people and for corporations.

most people who hate this, they dont own a house or pay rent or pay bank payments on their house, they dont pay electric bills, they never had to call a repair business and then get told its 2, 000 dollars to replace 5 feet of copper water pipe in the basement. they never was forced to pay a union shop to replace a blower motor so they can have heat in the house and not freeze and be forced to pay 1, 500 for a 200 dollar part that takes less than 1 hour labor to change,
