I have the EDC29 and this EDC23 is just a shorter version of the 29. Great review! Gotta get that one too. Highly recommend the 29 and this one.

I love the form factor of these 2 lights. I always left my old round lights at home unless I was sure I'd need one. They are a lot like the Olight Arkfeld lineup which I have. This size and shape is the reason I never leave w/out a light now.

Just ordered the EDC23. I will say, though, that they could have skipped the 2500 lumens turbo because it’s pretty much unusable, or make it available only in strobe mode, and instead should have included a 500 or 600 lumens mode, which would’ve been so much more usable. Also, they need to up the water resistance!

Love them, the only problem is that you can’t put it on your hat as a head lamp.

I've had two of the EDC 23's. Both broke a month in the multi function switch does not hold up to daily use.

Great and thorough review! Dislike the backwards clip that prevents it from being used as a hands free headlamp. Also notable is that their respective Amazon pages have that rarely seen but dreaded red flag that both are frequently returned items. I'll stick with my Olight Arkfeld Pro with correct clip, green laser, UV Lamp and 1300LM white light.

I bought the EDC29 and love it. It has some drawbacks, but overall a good light. I bought the EDC23 because I liked the 29 so much. I would not recommend the EDC23. Im hoping to do a comparison video of my own soon.

Your 1000 lumen test for 27 is wrong ( around 6.05 time stamp ). I bet you activated the proximity sensor, a design flaw in the 27 is if the sensor activates it doesn't go back to the 1000 lumens. I think you were showing 65 lumens in the 1000 lumen night shots.

I don’t mind a built-in battery if the flashlight’s cost is reasonable but at the level these two are, unfortunately it is a no go.

Good video but you can't beat Olight. Magnetic charging system, more features, detachable battery. same or better price.
