I'd say GTX 970 and 980 have a 2-6 FPS difference, not enough to jusify the cost for the 980, I'll just overclock the 970 and get higher performance.

I'm a new pc owner and man i am happy as hell lol. I'm the last of my friends to get one. I haven't had a chance to see it in action yet though. Everything came in the mail EXCEPT the friggin motherboard smh lol...should have it by this Wednesday...

I seriously can't decide between 970 and 980 @1080p 60hz. The 980 can OC better, and has better supersampling performance and frame times, not to mention will last a bit longer, maybe 5-6+ years? (Because consoles stagnate graphical improvement in games). But the 970 is much cheaper and not much weaker in terms of performance and leaves my wallet open to SLi in the future (should I choose) or get a better or second monitor whereas getting a 980 doesn't as much. Tough decisions.

Why the hell is Metro: Last Light so denanding? It doesn't look that good to me, especially when compared to Crysis or Battlefield, which run fine in much more active scenes... Is Metro that unoptimized?

Just letting everyone know if you decide to get a 290X you don't need a crossfire bridge anymore. The cards crossfire themselves through the PCI-E slot itself. (I was mind f'ed for awhile till I figured that out.)

Are all of these videos at 1440p? BF was, what about all of the others? I'm planning to buy this card in about one year, when it will be really useful. Right now my current card is doing the job, and a PS4 will help me to get by until then.

how the fuck is the 970 $330?! It's giving the 290x the run for it's money and I bought that for like $650!
