Finding the quotient and domain of two functions

👉 Learn how to divide two functions. We will explore the division of linear, quadratic, rational, and radical functions. To divide two functions, we simply algebraically divide the rules (contents) of the two functions. We will then simplify the quotient and determine the domain.

okay I understand now.
1.) you need to understand that you cannot divide by 0 correct.
2.) you need to determine what numbers make your denominator zero.
3.) The numbers that make it zero will not be apart of your domain(hence =/)
4.) To solve set your denominator to zero and solve for x, x = 7x-28, x = 4
5.) Therefore 4 is not part of the domain

@DjStiv3 what video are you referring to? I am happy to help you out but I do not see your question in the above video

@MrBrianMcLogan its on a site for my class for college i came here to see a similar one and the ay of how to do it...
the question asks to give the domain of the 2 functions
f(x) 8x-7 g(x) 7x-28
and you divide like the one on here only difference is that you have an x squared and a square root in your problem obviously)
so the question is whats the domain?
(on the site you can choose answers until you get it correct and the answer was an = with a slash 4 other words cant equal four but y?

this helped alot but the end is whats confusing
i had 8x-7 over 7x-28 after you get x=8over 7 and x = 4 why is the answer cant equal 4? (im doing it on mymathlab a site for classes to do your hw) the correct answer is cant equal 4(=/) but why?
when we do the test next week i may want to give the answer of the fraction or if its a regular number like 3 i may want to have that as my answer simply bcz i dont know why you would choose one over the other
