11:43 for question 4 the sqrt of x is positive here so shouldnt sqrt of x = -1 be impossible?

i have another question, in 3:52, when we are using the quadratic formula to find the an answer, can we type in the whole thing in the calculator and right the final answer directly? or do have to show some more steps like simplifying the fraction and the sqrt first?

Question 8 on 1:13:00 shouldn’t the answer for A be only 4 as in the question it was states that P is a positive constant hence we should reject -1 ?
