Bless you and thank you for keeping it 💯!
Been driving in the Detroit area now for 3 months. This is a very physically & mentally draining job. My biggest complaint is GROUP STOPS. 1 stop with 11packages & 4 locations(houses). I also hate when the flex app locks up on you or lags. I'm 46 years old and my body can't take this anymore.

So inhuman.. I work at a local donut shop where we get deliveries.. Always allow them to use the bathroom and if I can, I give them a free donut. For my home delivery people at christmas time have a bowl of goodies for them to take to thank them for their hard work

What I noticed about this job is each dsp contractor is literally different, so unfortunately, depending where you live, it’s a gamble that you might get a super smooth easy job, or you’ll get a very shitty dsp company. I’m lucky that I live in the desert in cat city in south cali because we don’t get any of these problems. To clarify, this isn’t Amazon’s fault necessarily. It’s the company that works for Amazon.

Amazon has been getting over on us with group stops. I understand if the houses are next door. Some are three or four home apart and they want you to walk

My DSP pulls some bs every pay period where they don’t give you a route for a day and on the schedule it will either say TBD or your name won’t show up at all but they still want you to come in to help the other drivers load up their vans so at the most you’ll get 2 hours for that day. We get paid biweekly so we should have 80 total hours but they cut that by not giving you a route for a day so you’ll be around 72 hours or less so they don’t have to pay you fully.

I worked for Amazon while I was at UPS warehouse part time. It doesn’t get better with UPS but we do get paid well and have union backing for when management tries to pull major BS.

A lot of the stuff you are talking about in this video would be solved if you had a union and actual contract to go by. That's one of the reasons Amazon uses DSPs in the first place so you guys cannot unionize and make the job a better place to work.
