Could the US-Canada border reopen, in some capacity, on June 22?

The border has been closed to non-essential travel since March of 2020. Both US and Canadian governments agreed to continue the closure through June 21.

Some wish it opened, some wish it remain closed. I personally wish it would re-open so I can get back to fishing the beautiful Canadian waters that my Dad and Grandfather raised me on!!

I'm vaccinated. I am Canadian living in NH, my family is vaccinated in Ottawa. I want to see them, it's been since last March 2020. No reason now for this to continue for those vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated people should be able to travel in either direction.

i hope it will open soon :( ive been with my canadian boyfriend for 2 years, i was supposed to meet him april 8th 2020 but the borders have been closed for over a year. we're both fully vaccinated and i wish they would at least lessen restrictions for fully vaccinated people, so i can finally see the love of my life.

I feel the same about the border to the UK, I don't mind showing my vax card, I don't mind taking some test to prove I'm safe, but to quaratine for 8-10 days, as a vaccinated person, is that really really necessary?

Some Geodetic Surveyors are crossing from Minnesota to Manitoba at Warroad Border Entry. Need to go to Northwest Angle. Entry allowed with 2 Neg. Covid tests within 48 hours of entry, plus they all have had 2 jabs. Don't know if this is for the 'select' only. Plenty of Canadian Semi's on Northern Minnesota highways.

My only hesitation about going to Canada now is the 14 day quarantine law. No point visiting Canada unless if I anticipate being there more than 2 weeks (probably not going to happen any time soon either).

I hope it opens soon. The lack of a plan is ridiculous. I’ve seen my girlfriend, who’s in Montreal, for a total of 3 weeks since February 2020. We’ve been together since 2018.

There’s no way a lot of working Canadians will want to travel to the USA if there are 2 week quarantine rules especially if they are vaccinated. Who wants to go over there and then lock themselves up in their homes when they return for that length of time. Canada has to come up with a good plan

It’s possible my girl works in yyz she didn’t work for a whole year but was called back for June 15th because they believe their will a strong number of American flights coming in and out so possibly!!
