There are "useless use of " messages in Perl 5 too, very useful for finding bugs which did not bite yet; they're my second favorite warnings after "uninitialized ... used in ...".

The biggest obstacle I see with languages are license agreements, someone creating a Windows install binary for convenience, should not then demand an enterprise license for every piece of code on the server. I dont get the logic behind that at all.

Who has time to figure out compliance when code is braided? Also the so called "naive ones" could think it is a great language to get sued using, and avoid the headaches and just use something inferior with a different license.

Charging enterprise licenses for Firefox, would certainly kill that or any other binary, when it is clear it is not closed source. Buying a Windows installer package maker, then charging server enterprise licenses for something free, is going to have negative reactions and keep it out of the corporate environment.

Also the bigger something is, the more holes it has, which generates competition. Anyway a big thank you for Perl, I will stick to version 5, its all I need and is well done (for now anyway).

Did he say plurality or perlality? Wink. Take care folks. All you perlymaniacs need your exercise, prayers and vitamins. Better error message? Do daily 1500mg else krill?

I refuse to do unicode, let AI translate that stuff, its what it is good for. Assembly language is not unicode is it? Horrors. Unless Larry gets royalties? Hmmmm, trick question. What should he get royalties for doing? Obviously his creative sense of humor.

Not a big fan of python because of syntax, thanks to Perl, I at least have one language that doesnt care about empty spaces. Thanks again. Javascript globals, OMG, horrors. Par for the course.

If you dont need workers, why do you have them in javascript with no alert to the naive user? Thats being abused, I am actually surprised that language is surviving. Hedges need trimming. Enjoy.

Great video, thanks for sharing. If not for the guy at scriptsocket.com, I would have over looked this language. Nice beginner tutorials and teaching format found there, and of course thank you YouTube.

I had difficulty making out Gloria's pun about shining at 49:50. Can someone with better ears than mine transcribe what she said?
