SA’s biggest export to the US is Platinum which may be exempted from the import tax but our 2nd biggest export is Cars 🚘 2/3rds of SA exports to the US 🇺🇸 are locally manufactured cars 🚘; those will be hit hard 🥹escalations tariffs has already send the SA market into a tailspin 🤷‍♀️the rand plunged to 19.57 against the dollar its lowest since election time, the 125% tariff imposed on China 🇨🇳 will stifle growth since China happens to be one of our biggest trading partner.
