Yes!! Hoarding ALL OF THE CONDIMENT PACKETS!! 😂 I was only in county for a little over a week, and my hoard of jelly packets was pretty epic. I even mixed that into water just to have something that tasted remotely like a “real” drink. 😭😭

My friend is poor and she does stuff like this. When she's at a fast food place she asks for an extra 10 Mayo, relish, mustard, and ketchup packets. Her parents both work min wage retail jobs so she does what she can.

We used to get 1 fresh jalapeno with our breakfast tray. So we would save the boiled eggs, bread slices, mustard and mayo packets from certain trays use our spoon to chop the jalapeno and eggs mix it with the mayo and mustard to make egg salad sandwiches there was like four of us that saved the ingredients together so we shared at night when your hungry before bed.

So good! I keep all my ketchup packets from fast food for my daughter. And your mustard tip was so helpful. Mustard is good on it's own.

Only ever been booked and released but when I was homeless I used to make "gas station chicken" and basically the idea of it is you can make "asian" chicken with only sauce packets you would get for free at a gas station and i would put it on plain chicken that was often donated from chik fil a to a resource center in my city when i used to go there. Its ketchup, soy sauce, and honey ideally or sugar. If you have an orange or orange juice, or lemon or lime juice in the squirt bottle ive heard some jails have that you can use the juice too to enhance it. Believe it or not that's really all there is in general tso sauce, besides garlic and balsamic vinegar. The flavor is slightly less complex but still very very good.

I completely forgot about this! Definitely saved the Ramen packets. The only other thing we got was mayo if we got hot caught with jelly or anything like that it was a hole shot.

I was so grateful to my pod mates. I didn’t have money for commissary and no one who would put money on my books for commissary, so each week they would either trade one of my sack dinners or the cookies and meat from the sack dinner for a ramen or a couple of guys would even just give me a soup with no expectations and I’d save them and have a soup every now and then. At one point I was able to get three soups and a bag of chips saved up from trades and guys just being nice. It was jarring considering the rough and tumble perception I had of going to jail. But very welcome and truly helped my mental health a bit. Kept me positive even when it felt like I was going to drown in the system ❤

I guess you could say I'm an extreme Cheapskate like the show😂😂 whenever I go to gas stations I always grab whatever I can straws napkins condiments Etc😎
