In 1959, 12 countries, including Chile, Japan, Australia, and the US, signed the Arctic Treaty and pledged that the continent would only be used for peaceful purposes. Like ten to fifteen years ago, I was super interested in how they live in Antartica, and I read several articles and interviews with people who live and have lived there.. Apparently, they get drunk a LOT.. They said the hangovers are the worst on earth and about the only method they've found to get through them is just to suffer.
