What I don't understand is why parents have a problem with taking care of their children!! If you don't want the responsibility keep it wrapped up!!

Big fan of your honor! Thank you for holding deadbeat parents accountable! Your work is so important for American children. Thank you thank you thank you thank you times a million! Thank you for studying in school, becoming a judge and sacrificing so much to serve the community in such an important and impactful way. Your legacy will linger long after you’re gone and the lives you’ve touched are far beyond what you can comprehend. If there is a God I surely hope he blesses you Judge!

Well, it's stated that the "gift" was given with the "intent" to be used for her to "support her household"

I thought a gift is a 1-2 time offering. She receiving an Annual resource ($8300 per month plus 1900 disability). Personally I say she’s good. If she could “live” on 1900 and support the kids the $ from her parents is income, plain and simple. The parents could provide directly for the kids if they wanted the same as the are still providing for their own child. Not mad at the case but it does lend the question if you are receiving state resources and someone is giving additional over and above the state, could the states resources be better utilized elsewhere. Not knowing the wife conditions the answer may be the state funds are needed, but with the amount of disability fraud going on, maybe it’s the best and morally right decision. How many people on disability have to work for extra cash versus this lady receiving a paycheck from her parents plus the disability?

The parents had intent on supporting their daughter and her family while they were married. The kids are still entitled to the same level of care now that they are divorced. This actually makes alot of sense to me

Ok, well that was her parents trying to hide the $$$ by saying it was a “gift”, bet it had to do with taxes on both sides too. It was stinky, why would the parent send her $100, 000 a year? Love your show…

I’m shocked too, but then you reminded me that this in the great state of Texas. I’m not so shocked anymore. When you’ve got liquor & gun shops sharing a wall, anything goes I guess! 😂
