I love that the tankers would stop and get out to make tea so the British army finally said “fuck it, teapots in the tank”

Can just imagine a trail of teabags across the battlefield 😂

Next time the Mrs wants a new kettle, I can get her a little runabout & not have to worry about her parking it 😂😂😂

Very British to have a water boiler in the tank! My Italian grandfather was always shocked that in Africa around El Alamein the commonwealth troops was always stopping to have their tea 🍵 later he became quite addicted too when he came back to Italy 😂😅

The writing on the mug was worth a chuckle. Little Willie was the name of one of the first tank prototypes in WW1. The other was called Big Willie. Soldiers' humour. 😊

BVs should absolutely be standard issue in all nato vehicles. The ability to boil water easily in the field is a life saver. Hygiene, purifying water, cooking. Many uses for a small efficient machine.

Compliments for the colour of that brew. Spot on.

Nothing beats driving past the infantry on a winter Ex and pouring a hot cuppa on the floor in front of them then pouring another and taking a slurp 🤣.

Just below where you had the boiling vessel on the turret ring are two welded cleats. A tray was fitted there, and the BV sat in that tray. The tray and BV had to be removed before firing, other wise you would end up with a flat BV, and the commander would be very upset. 😢

The best thing about operating afv's, the BV, morale plummets if you go on exercise and it isn't operational.

That really is an astonishingly complete restoration. The turret, BV, everything.... fantastic work.

You have no idea how long I wanted to see that simple act. Thank you for the short

If I remember our APC’s used to have the BV (boiling vessel) mounted inside the rear door, great when on exercise in Germany at -10

Absolutely love the Berlin urban camouflage pattern

BV's the Greatest invention since fire. Literally an absolute godsend when in the middle of Soltau in Feb/March or a winter Med Man.

Having a Bivvie is a lifesaver

When I was in cadets, we went on a week long trip to Scotland in March. So imagine a bunch of 12 to 16 year olds rolling around in the mud for a week. We had a Bivvie that was ripped out of a Centurion on the back of a land rover that used to follow us around

After a long day of being absolutely frozen a hot tea was the best thing in the world
