Installing Upper Cabinets! Ram ProMaster Van Build Conversion - Episode 14 | Jason Klunk

I finished the 3rd upper cabinet box and made face frames for all 3 upper cabinets. I’m really stoked with how these turned out. I will be making the fronts later on in the build. I was really worried that the cabinets would not feel secure on the wall, but they are insanely strong. The boxes are ½” baltic birch plywood and the face frames are poplar 1x2’s.

I’ll be starting my bench seats in the next video, so stay tuned. Yewwwwwwwww!

I can learn from what you did, but so disappointed the "install" part was not captured; that was exactly what I was looking for...

Awesome looking cabinets. Always looking forward to your vids. I'm looking at getting a PM 136 and most all of builds of PMs found on YT are 159. Can't wait for the bench seats. Nice work! 🚐🤙

Hey Jason, this looks great! Can you share links to the various Kreg tools you are using?

Hi Jason, did you screw the cabinets into your wood stud strips or were they inserted into plus nuts? Thanks.

How did you build around the pillar? It’s hard because it’s not flush with the wall

I’m interested in how you built these as well

Gosh looks great. Going to build mine just like yours. Question. The bottom on the upper cabinet. How did you figure out when it was level? Measure from roof down? It’s just a stumbling block for me. If you could help. Thanks.

Currently building a ProMaster and I've been following along with your videos, they're so much help!

The next step is ceiling, then upper cabinets. I'm wondering if you're willing to share your cabinet dimensions?

Nice work Jason. I have the same van and am doing a similar build and I'm finding your videos to be very helpful. I'm wondering if you're going to install something like sumo springs to beef up the back end or not...

Jason, how did you attach your face frames to the cabinets? I saw some brad nail holes when you were patching them. Did you also use wood glue? Do you recommend painting / priming first, then attaching or attaching first? Thank you!! Love the videos!

What type of paint/primer did you go with? Looks super clean.

How are they attached to the ribs of the van

What did you do to dress the wall behind the cabinets? Or did you leave it where you can see the insulation?

Did you end up doing anything to cover the wires from the recessed puck lights, or did you leave it like we can see in this video? In the middle of our upper cabinet build now, and that has us stumped. We’ve seen others do a false bottom, but that seems like a big loss of limited space, so curious how you handled that?

Hi there! Great job and quick question, what paint did you use on your cabinets and would you recommend it?

Did you screw the cabinets directly into the metal van framing? If so, did you pre-drill holes into the metal? Confused because it looks like you used cabinet screws made for wood, wondering how you attached to the metal framing
