In a volcanic cone eruption, magma rises through a central vent in the Earth's crust. As the magma rises, it cools and solidifies, forming a cone-shaped volcano. The magma eventually reaches the surface and erupts as lava.

Lava is molten rock that has erupted from a volcano. It can be very hot, reaching temperatures of up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,100 degrees Celsius). Lava can also be very fluid, flowing like water.

Volcanic eruptions can be very dangerous. They can cause fires, floods, and mudslides. They can also release ash and gas into the atmosphere, which can cause respiratory problems and other health problems.

Here are some of the dangers of volcanic eruptions:

Lava flows: Lava flows can destroy buildings, crops, and forests. They can also burn people and animals.
Pyroclastic flows: Pyroclastic flows are fast-moving clouds of hot gas and ash. They can travel at speeds of up to 700 miles per hour (1,100 kilometers per hour) and can kill people and animals.
Volcanic ash: Volcanic ash can cause respiratory problems, skin irritation, and eye irritation. It can also damage aircraft engines and disrupt air travel.
Volcanic gases: Volcanic gases can include sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide. These gases can be poisonous and can cause respiratory problems, acid rain, and climate change
