“When you wish upon a star…”, a favorite quote by Gemini Cricket.

We finally know how Simon can produce ever more increasing number of channels. Some of them are made in alternate universes and this one obviously came from one that just pronounces Gemini differently.

9:23 Simon is trolling the commenters about his pronunciations. He is a master of youtube channels and knows how to play the algorithm with getting the comments in.

Gemini-Titan remains one of my favorite crew launch vehicles in history, and the Gemini spacecraft itself is a really impressive step forward in technology. Totally unsung hero of the space race.

I'm fairly surprised he pronounced "Apollo" correctly.

The thumbnail needs to be updated to Simon's head on Jiminy Cricket's body.

My grandpa worked at nasa in the 60's and 70's. After he worked for G.E. under contract for the space program as well. He finished at Lockheed working on the missile program. I still have his nasa id card on my dresser mirror. My mom even told me about going to the funerals of the Apollo 1 astronauts. Its crazy to me because my life is so much different then theirs growing up.

Is it Gem and I? Or jim and me? The world will never know.

Edit: I just looked it up and NASA was pronouncing it Gem-mu-nee! What the

I was a young boy who at the time lived & breathed the space program. NASA & all the news reporters pronounced it like Simon does, I did too. I remember watching the shutdown happen live on TV and those few minutes after the shut down seemed like forever. I never new that Gus Grissom was so much involved in the design of the spacecraft & it was nicknamed the Gusmobile. I have visited the museum dedicated to him in Indiana at the Air Force Base & seen his Gemini close up. I have always thought it is the coolest looking spacecraft that NASA sent into space!

So many comments complaining about the Gemini pronunciation with an authoritative tone, so few people actually bothering to look it up.
The issue is contentious enough that there's a 2018 NY Times article dedicated to the topic, in which they reference a 1965 article of theirs, on the same.
The 'nee' pronunciation is traditional within NASA. Personally, I also prefer it, as I dislike it when English butchers the pronunciation of foreign loanwords.

Grew up hearing Wally Schirra with the accent on the 2nd syllable (shear AH), now I wonder how his father pronounced it! Because once NASA picked a pronunciation…..

The spacecraft is currently on display at the Stafford Air & Space Museum in Weatherford, Oklahoma, having previously been displayed at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City. The spacecraft had previously been on display at the Omniplex Science Museum elsewhere in the city. It is on long-term loan from the Smithsonian Institution.

Before being moved to Oklahoma, the spacecraft was displayed at the St. Louis Science Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

So how about when I was 15 years old, I was going door to door for a fundraiser in southwest Pennsylvania, and I came across an old man who worked for NASA for 40 years. Once he found out my father worked for Prat and Whitney and NASA, it was all over. XD We talked for hours and helped me with the fundraiser. I remember he told me stories about the corners that were cut that blew my mind! Lolz 🐺❤️‍🔥
