Guessing maybe the game saying butchering the oldest one makes most sense is because sheep have a limited lifespan like the beavers do and butchering the oldest one means it doesn’t die of old age. Although if that’s the case the UI really should tell you how old they are instead of making you guess.

its called a dry sink because its not plumbed in, like a wet bar is called a wet bar because it has a plumbed in tap.
in this case a dry sink is a sink without pipe work you fill with a bucket, useful in a farm
