This is an actual song by Alejandro Fernandez. It’s called Como Quien Pierde Una Estrella. Except the ending note in that song is E7 instead of E. Nice to see how flexible guitar can be

The Harmonic Minor scale takes the minor scale and sharps the 7th.
That's what gives you an E major chord instead of an Em 🎸

I was doing an improv of this last night at a jam night,

I use the minor pentatonic on first 3 chords, then harmonic minor on that E major, swapping that Dominant 7th for a major 7th, works well as far as I can tell, as that major note raises the 7th of the A minor.
