This trawler looks great and sounds very capable. 4m waves are huge if it is capable of such high seas you might have to have the sick bags ready lol 😂

This design looks like a space age Nordhavn. Intriguing concept at a relatively reasonable price. I really like the diesel-electric idea. They should incorporate some solar panels. Every bit helps :)

I have been following you from the start. We have the same taste in ships and boats. Keep up the good work 💪
Love from Trondheim, Norway 🇳🇴

Hey John, thanks for a look at what could be a very successful expedition/explorer yacht that boasts quiet electrically generated power and a decent range. Did they ever say what the estimated range was, or the fuel capacity for the generators? Other than that I think it's not just an impressive design but has enough space in a 40ft'er to even pass as a live aboard vessel. My apologies for being awol for a while I had an unexpected surgery that kept me sidelined for quite a while and I'm just getting back to normal again. Keep up the excellent work and take care! Dave

Apparently they had a good look at the Baikal 17smy and 18 expedition. Since these yachts cannot enter EU harbours, this knock off by Trondheim will do well. Keeping steel construction instead of switching to GRP makes me happy. There are already to many plastic trawler yachts racing the sea.

Did I miss the range? It’s what we all really care about 😂

Nice one John, EV/EP is the future to me especially in sunnier climes. On this model it looks as though the solar/polychromatic panels are only on pilot house roof and perhaps more are needed elsewhere for more challenging seas without having to rely on generators? Just my own personal thoughts of course. Cheers DougT

I'm a big fan of trawlers, and this one is an absolute beauty! Is there any specific information yet about its range? 30% better than comparable yachts of comparable
fuel capacity is impressive, but it would be great to know the actual range numbers.

I think it looks good. I'd put Solar panels everywhere it was feasible to do so, to help out with battery charging, and limit the amount of time running the generators as much as possible.
It'd be nice to see some rubbing strips all round the above water areas, as it'd likely be an owner/operator scenario, so anything to prevent scraping the hull off the docks is a good thing :)
Certainly looks like plenty of boat for a 43 footer :)

Will be built in the Netherlands. Which is a big plus. My first thought it would be built in Trondheim, Norway. It looks like the range is 900 to 3000 miles. Depends on the owner. It is designed by a Russian known for his green energy designs.

I'm very interested in this boat, although still not a qualified buyer. I'm missing how this boat can manage "Comfortable for accommodation of 6 persons" when it looks like two double births. Also I think the discerning public is going to need to have a better understanding of the technicals. Not your fault, I've been to the website and look around the web. There isn't really much out there.

i wonder what redundancy systems are in place. Would suck running out of power in a storm or on a potential collision course.

What's the range and fuel capacity

Does this have a diesel gen set to charge the batteries? If so it seems to just be adding another system to do the same thing as a regular engine> Of course you still would need a gen set but it could be smaller.

So it's diesel electric drives. Range would be nice to know?

You know bearing could benefit from making a forty some-odd foot steel hull trawler yacht to compete with nordhavn N-41

Who is the builder of this Yacht? What's the range?
Also, where is the third cabin located.? I only saw a guest cabin and a owner's cabin.

Jay Bedfords Florida coaster design were there already 40 years ago, nothing new just the power plant, same looks.

All electric is the future, but is it here yet? Maybe yes for Nuclear submarines but not for long-range trawler yachts. But it will be soon.
