Your opening is why I love used clothing; you can get quality pieces from interesting places for a fraction of the price. You can curate not only a wardrobe but a lifetime of stories. I am proud to say my Irish fisherman sweater is actually made in Ireland. I do have several PEI (our Maine?) made sweaters but they are made of 100% British wool on Swiss dubied knitting looms.

I have a Banana Republic denim aviator jacket I bought in the 80’s. It’s quality fabric, lined in a flannel with inside pockets and a removable shearling collar. I customized it over the years with patches and pins that mean a lot to me. I get compliments on it every minute I wear it. The quality is so different than what they do now
