If your semi-circle were up in the air, you still wouldn't need reimann sum limits, because you could draw a line to create a rectangle and a semi-circle and use geometry to come up with the area of each shape separately and add them together.  That's actually what I did with the trapezoid.  I just took the area of the triangle up top (4 1/2 sq un) and added the area of the rectangle at the bottom (9 sq un), then added them together to get 13 1/2 sq un.
