I’m a Rangers man, but even I couldn’t help but respect him whilst he was at Celtic. He didn’t bite to the media, he didn’t entertain slagging off other teams, he was focused on his game plan and his squad, that was it. He’s straight to the point and no bullshitting, he’s a respectable man and credit due where its due, he’s very well accomplished and deserves it all.

As an Aussie who lost love with football growing up and followed all other football codes... Ange has brought me back into love with football and am now a spurs fan loving angeball!

You just can't ignore how happy players look when he's at the helm.

At Celtic, we could tell he was a legend. Our last great manager was Martin O'Neill, who managed the club from 2000-2005. Ange was the best manager since O'neill, and if he had stayed a few more seasons he could have eclipsed him.

As a Rangers fan, everything in my body told me to hate this man and yet i often found myself with nothing but respect for him.

His style of play, the way he gets teams to pull together is unread, his man management (going by the players) seems to be spot on and he genuinely seems like one of lifes decent human beings.

Plus, hearing him destroy journalists is absolutely outstanding. He doesnt take any shit from them at all and quite rightly puts them back in their place.

I'm much happier he's at spurs now 😅

I love Ange and his philosophy. Even after Spurs I will follow his journey. He is the first manager I have properly adored.

Ange is the best manager Celtic have had in my life time. Spurs are very lucky to have him. He is a great person, exceptional manager. I have no doubt he will win a trophy with Spurs. 🍀

That game against Holland in 2014 had me genuinely excited that Australia were in the path to become a true footballing nation thanks to Ange. We had them rattled and Angeball was on full display. Player quality in the end made the difference but the seeds were sown that we could play attractive attacking football and compete at the highest level. Sure we’ve had some great results since but I struggle to watch the team these days. Ah what could’ve been….

In applauding his achievements for getting to the PL I don't think most pundits realise how difficult is to be successful in competitions like the A League or J League where managers need to be so much more hands on, perform multiple roles and coach and develop less talented players to play an ambitious style

What I think makes Ange special is also his ability to read the game using his instinct and trust in this.

My favourite Ange match of all time is probably Aus v Chile, 2017 Confederations cup .. not fielding our strongest team and yet still going at a top 10 side toe for toe playing open and attacking football .. that approach with that side that day took real balls and was great to watch despite ending in a draw

Why did you leave out he was our coach at Brisbane Roar and won premierships before he went to Melbourne victory

To those who say winning with Celtic is easy, they probably don't realise he brought over unheard of players from Asia and still did it.

Watch out for Spurs next year.

Signing Vicario and Maddison were master strokes. Van Der Ven also is a decent player. I don't know how much involvement Ange had in signing them, but they are all great signings.

He is the manager who led the Australian national team to the Asian Cup. It's an achievement he can't do unless he's a special person. If you look at his Asian Cup journey, you can feel that he is a special person.
