I just started listening to kpop a few years ago...and became a fan of newjeans.

I was looking at Instagram reels randomly and I liked a reel thinking it was Newjeans but turns out it was Illit. It's really too identical that I couldn't tell them apart on quick glances in reels.

People need to realize that the biggest problem with Be:Lift taking so much from Ador is that they are label mates, and that Bang PD not only let it happen, but was a part of it! In the case of the group Jeans, they debuted almost thirty years ago. MHJ took a concept she saw that was almost thirty years old and based on her intuition and experience thought it could work today. This was at a time when girl crush and sexy were the more popular concepts. MHJ took a risk, and it paid off, making New Jeans the hottest new girl group. Be:Lift created Illit less than two years after New Jeans debuted. There was no creativity or inspiration there. There was no risk involved. That was basically looking at all the money that was being generated by New Jeans and saying… I want one of those.

IMO, I think this issue arises because where in a complete different generation. Think of it this way, New Jeans' concept is not new, BUT is new in today's age. So when Illit's teasers and photos came out, (well in my case) I thought of New Jeans, BECAUSE they litterally brought back the Y2K in today's age. I know some would say that "New Jeans isnt the only GG who have brought back Y2K", yes they're right, BUT also keep in mind that the theie oncept is not just for the promotion photos or teasers, NJ also released Y2K inspired songs for their debut song and that is Attention.

In MJH argument, I would say it is valid because she IS referring to the FORMULA that the other company used for Illit. We have to see her argument in a bigger picture.

I know newjeans copied jeans, but then atleast see the timeline and the impact on both groups, jeans members were okay with it and even praised nwjns, but on other hand we all know bangpd want to bring down nj so he made illit, like illit and nj has so many similarities and can't name it 'co incidence' and cant even say they got inspired because it was literally same just imagine debuting a grp with same choreo, pics, brands endorsement and so much more and that from same damn
