I don't understand why people aren't mentioning the visual gag of the Penguin walking like a penguin after being tied...

After seeing The Batman twice…I can see it becoming one of my favorite comic book films. I need to watch it one more time, but I loved what I saw. Do wish it was 15 minutes shorter, that’s just me.

With “The Batman”, I didn’t really feel that any politics were shoehorned, and rather felt present in the little bits it was there. Perhaps with The Riddlers background reveal, I see where your conclusion comes in. For me, it felt organic in this modern noir context, and know that the avenues he used have been used much longer than our society seems to show. Loved the film, wish it was R rated but am okay with it not being so

I am SO glad you liked turning red. I live in Toronto which probably made me love it even more, but I think the movie is fantastic in nearly every other way. glad that a creator I like also really enjoyed it

In regards with the "politics, " a major element of some of the best Batman stories is how alone him and Gordon are in Gotham. Gotham is such a shithole that even the law gets dragged into corruption and dealing with the mob. It's not trying to be political, it's showing how corrupt and evil the city is which is common in classic Batman stories like "The Long Halloween, " "Batman: Year One, " and "Ego."

I went into Everything Everywhere All at Once completely blind with a friend and had the best time. Still confused at how it all worked but it simply did for me. Highly recommend.

The absolute cackle that escaped my lips when RPatz jumps off the tower to escape the cops, deploys his parachute incorrectly under the bridge and eats shit. This movie knows not to take itself too seriously because Batman is not a serious hero yet. He's still learning, he makes so many mistakes, he's a lil emo tween listening to Cobain. I'm so glad they tackled Batman's adolescence, it humanizes the character tremendously.

I really, really liked turning red. Feel like it works so well both as a period piece and a coming of age film. Didn't go in with sky high expectations but it became a top tier Pixar film for me, which is an extremely high bar

Okay, so Bestia is the short film from my country Chile. It's actually based on a real woman called Ingrid Olderock that worked for the secret police of a dictatorial government that lasted 17 years. She was responsible for torturing women in horrific ways using her dog (as seen in the short film). She was shot in the head in an assassination attempt (it is not known whether it was by a group of revolutionaries or by the secret police themselves). She recovered and retired from her job, living the rest of her life without paying for her crimes.
The short was really hard to watch, but an important reminder of the history of our country that we should never forget.

I wish I had the motivation and drive to make content like this. It’s interesting and easy to watch. Is there any tips you have or software you would recommend to capture clips from films or shows?

my favorite part of these videos is when you mention a movie i have never even slightly heard about and say “what can i say about that hasn’t been said before”

Another one of the worst things about the Oscars is the animation category being sponsored by Disney, presented by three actresses for the live action Disney films, to advertise their next Disney live action movie, oh and THREE of the nominees being owned by Disney. This is the most transparent they've been that the animation Oscar is just advertising space for Disney

My heart stopped when I saw that weird little blue statue, I'm going to cry, as someone from Columbus, I am so overjoyed that you would watch anything to do with my town, but also LIKED it. That movie is sort of a running joke at my school, so it's crazy that you had even heard of it.

Your comments on the 66 Batman movie really made me smile. I love Adam West in the role just as much as some of the grittier takes (I did really enjoy watching The Batman this month too) and that movie has been one of my favourites for a very long time, it's just such a joy to watch for how silly and straight faced it is! :)

Riddler's motivation weren't political, but rather personal. He just made it political to make people be on his side

The Batman is not only my favorite comic book movie of all time but one of my favorite films ever. The shots and angles are just breathtaking as well, perfect filmography from start to finish & the casting was an absolute joy. I'm a diehard fan of Michelle Pfeiffer's catwoman but Zoey Kravitz performance was just as iconic. The story was also steeped in realism with all the crime movie angles, which I also really enjoyed. A little complex but still easy to follow. Brilliant film.
