I've always adored Rogue One for the grittier look at the war side of Star Wars. This is more of that grey area storytelling and I am HERE for it.

The class division and abusive expansionism is a good angle to frame Andor. What stroked me the most, is how the dialogue and demeanor of the actors feels so different from recent shows/movies. Like they are really taking it seriously for once.

This reminds me so much of WW2 Paris movies, where the French resistance was covertly (and sometimes overtly) fighting the entrenched occupying Nazis, getting into the gritty underbelly of society where you have to hide from the tyrants and their ever-present spy network, seeing that rebellions aren't clean and need to use tactics that aren't heroic and recruiting agents from the dregs of society with nothing left to lose. Also, the visuals look absolutely killer on this - I can't wait!

The actor who says, "They're fomenting out there. Pockets are fomenting." is Alex Ferns. He was Commissioner Savage in "The Batman" & the lead miner in "Chernobyl."

I took the "Are you a fish or are you a thief" as a question to ask someone you caught snooping around somewhere they shouldn't be meaning "are you what I am fishing for (Rebel dissidents) or are you just a petty thief looking to steal from the Empire." Unfortunately neither option would be favorable to the captor lol.

I really hope we get to see the dark side of the Rebel Alliance that Andor hinted at in R1: assassinations, going after non-military targets, wet work, true guerilla warfare. For so long we've seen the Rebellion painted as the noble heroes, and now I think we're going to get a glimpse as to how the Alliance started as genuine insurgent cells and became a guerilla force that was able to, if not strike genuine fear into the Empire, become a stubborn enough annoyance as to seriously piss it off.

That tells me that what she’s saying means: “Now that you’re a part of us, are you with us, or against us?” Are you compliant or a rebel? The fish meaning do they “swim alongside the rest of the school?”

This trailer was so much better than the teaser we got a while ago. This looks more in line with what the SW universe is all about

I think series like this are the future of Star Wars. The stories are so rich and lore packed a lot of time they need room to breath and not being shaved down to be fit into the box of a 2 to 2 and a half hour movie. Hopefully the success of this show helps green light more shows like it for Star Wars

Since this will be the far most episodes for a D+ show I expect the episodes to be about thirty minutes. Let's also remember Andor had already been renewed for a second season. Very excited for this show

it's been pushed back apparently. It's not an August 31 release but a September 21, which is three Wednesdays later.
