Batman makes a solid point if a live action pokemon movie with Ash Misty and Brock wasn’t perfect everyone would just be mad and the detective aspect lets there be a live action pokemon movie that tells its own story that doesn’t specifically have to live up to the exact expectations that people have been dreaming of for years and is instead a stepping stone for possible future live action pokemon movies
