I love the lyrics. I've just now started back being able to listen to music at all after almost a year. My fiance played lead guitar and was so exceptionally talented, so everytime I would hear a guitar riff, I would cry. I lost him last September, and it has been a rough year. But I'm happy that this song is one of the first I listened to all the way through in a long time. I love it!!

I just found this amazingly written song and these lyrics are definitely poppin' out to me! I wish that I would have heard it before I broke off my engagement with a man who I spent way too many years trying to make happy and myself happy but knowing deep down no matter what I did, it just wasn't going to work out between us! What he ended up doing to me and my heart is something I hope nobody else will have to endure or feel the pain that I felt for 11 years! I've learned a very valuable lesson, or I should say that it made me realize that you shouldn't just stay in a relationship and keep trying and trying to make it work when you know for sure, deep down in your hurting heart, that no matter how many times they tell you that they promise everything will change, it DOESN'T WORK out that way! All you end up doing is wasting years and years of your life in a relationship that's going absolutely nowhere and we all know that feeling of trying to fight for somebody we truly love and don't want to ever lose! I don't try to change anybody into somebody they're not and if they truly want to change, that's their job if they truly love you!
