Kristy's Bright and Beautiful 200 Square Foot NYC Studio | House Tours

This small studio is the first time Kristy Marhin has ever lived without roommates, so she wanted to create a fun and young space for her first solo home. She was able to do just that even though the rental is only 230 square feet. “I love fashion, colors, and pop culture and reflect the same style into my decor through posters, unique candles, disco ball, and a funky rug,” Kristy writes.

I'm 67 years old, and I LOVE this apartment! You're never too old for pops of pink and these decor items. The division of spaces is seamless and, although we didn't get a really good look at it, that shower curtain is a beautiful surprise! We'll done.

How crazy is it that the fridge is HUGE and you could hardly chop a carrot on the counter space? But this young woman has dine a beautiful job making the most of this small space. The pops of colour against the clean backdrop of white, and even "decorating" with the shoes she loves, is really lovely. Plus doing a great job of covering the dark countertop with contact paper! Very well done!

This is brilliantly laid out. The way the living room and office are visually set apart is exceptional considering how much room the bed takes up.

The room divider is so clever. Delineating a small space into specific areas is challenging, but she’s done an amazing job of achieving that.

I really love the way she’s divided the sections of her space. Her layout is wonderful. I absolutely would not describe this as colourful or eclectic however. Not even a little bit.

She did a wonderful job compartmentalizing the small studio. I always try to do this with studios as it feels so cozy and gives different vibes from the different areas. Great job---she really put a lot of love and care into her apartment.

Yes, this is what I want to see. Outstanding use of space while keeping an open feel. That shelving unit makes the space special and so functional to separate the areas. Fun young color choice to boot!

It's all white with a splash here and there of pale pink which is nice but nothing colorful, yet it looks very pretty with good organization and neatness. So tiny yet it's a home that is loved and appreciated.
