Hi everyone, welcome to Travelzilla! Today I am going to show you one of Brazil's greatest assets, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil's first capital. We all know Brazil is a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural country and Salvador is no different. Here you find cultural fusion of Portugal and other European Nations with Native American traditions and African cultures added during the years of slave trade. Salvador is where Portugal and Africa meet. Salvador is a Portuguese city, custom built to rival Lisbon, but as the capital moved southwards, to Rio de Janeiro, the city lost a lot of its white population thus becoming Brazil's most African city. Here you'll know what the last xmas celebrations before the pandemic were like. I talk about religion, how the catholic faith has built the city, the church, the fight between good and evil that takes place here and much more! You'll see 4K Drone images of the city, its main churches, will learn about it's origins, the barroque architecture found here, the beaches, the beach life, some religious ceremonies, xmas shows and finally we will move onto the city's christmas decorations! :-) I will give you a tour of places like the PELOURINHO, churches like SENHOR DO BONFIM, NOSSA SENHORA DA CONCEIÇÃO DA BARRA, IGREJA DO SÃO FRANCISCO ( St Francis church) , ORDEM TERCEIRA DO SÃO FRANCISCO, Saint Barbara CHurch, the Holy Sea of Salvador so on and so forth. I will show you a gregorian chanted mass, the city's public elevator ELEVADOR LACERDA, the city's 2 main lighthouses FAROL DA BARRA and FAROL DE ITAPUAN (ITAPUÃ) so on and so forth!
