My filters are not coming out and I’m beyond frustrated. I’m not a stupid woman. I put my finger in and pushed back toward the wall a billion times.
I can feel each of these 2 filters move up or down slightly and stick to magnets.
I don’t know what the heck the problem is. The guy who installed it a few months ago, showed me what you’re doing and made it seem real easy.

Mine was too greasy so it didn't push forward with ease and hence was not lowering. However, I slid a butter knife into the edge of the filter (the one closer to my side, not the wall) and pried it off with some downwards pressure.

Hello. I have the same Broan product you have. Can you provide instructions or video on how to take out the fan and clean the fan and blades?

The filter I have has a foam filter in the middle. If you have that type let it dry for at least 24 hours before installing. If it's still wet it could burn up the fan motor.

The one I have is an older one and has the other style of fan. It is more like a regular fan and not the squirrel cage type. Of course I never do any frying of any kind in my kitchen. That grease gets everywhere and it takes forever to clean it up. It is disgusting. My Grandmother owned a bar a long time ago and while I did not have to clean that kitchen I had seen how nasty it can get. I think if I had to clean that up I would not think of fried foods in a positive way ever again. It is the vapor from the fryer. You might not see it in the air but it gets everywhere and slowly accumulates. Then one day you notice a disgusting sticky grimy feeling on everything that was in the kitchen. I only like fries because salt sticks to them unlike oven cooked ones.
