Why do we cover our Eyes when reciting the Shema Prayer

Thank you for that insight. I pray that the he Lord continues to open your eyes to the truth and fulfillment on His promise to you and all of the world in Yeshua. I pray that all who don’t know God’s begotten son Yeshua, that you do one day soon before our messiah returns once again. He is coming and we must open our eyes, repent and surrender to Yeshua the king of kings whom God have to the world as a sacrificial lamb to wash away our sins and make us whole. Without the Holy Spirit we have no true reconciliation with God and no connection. Yeshua is the door and he is the good shepherd that tends to and leads his flock, Jews and gentiles are apart of this. Put your faith in Yeshua God’s Son who takes away the sins of the world and is returning. We crucified him but he rose again, and he is the one who saves. Adonai exalts his son and the son exalts the father. He is so real and loving, and we can only he God’s children when we accept his son, as who God said He is. He has been prophesied and He is a conqueror and peaceful king who has brought peace to those who want it, and conquers all enemies. He heals the broken hearted and he gives us everlasting life as the Father has promised for his children as many who will come. Seek Yeshua and you will truly know Adonai. The prophets spoke of him and he is returning. He is the messiah the same one who was excited on a stake for us so we didn’t have to die in our sins. Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. This is not idolatry but the purest fullest complete faith as it should be. With God living in you, you are not whole. Yeshua is God in the flesh who knows Father Yehovah and the Father knows Him. To know God you must know His son, whom God sent to be the door to our salvation. He is the way, truth, and the life, and no man can know the Father except through Yeshua. I’ve heard it said that God only has his one son Israel, but the truth is from the line of King David from the tribe of Judah Yeshua comes from, and He is the promised begotten Son and king of Israel. This is way Israel is referred to as his son because of who comes from Israel to rule, His son Yeshua is the one who rules Israel and will for 1, 000 do so as the kingdom touches ground after judgement day. God is one and He and His son Yeshua are one. We will look and mourn on the one we have pierced one day and I pray you will be looking upon the king with gladness not anger or disbelief. I beg you brethren and sisters from Israel, wake up and see the prophecies the way they were written. The New Testament is true and please don’t let a broken cistern close your mind off to what God wants you to see. The Pharisees hid many things from you and gentiles, many things are hid from you, but if you ask Yeshua to reveal himself to you He will and you then understand. You’re his beloved chosen nation that He created and named himself. He adores you but even you are in danger of judgement if you do not repent and surrender to Yeshua and go through the narrow gate. You have to believe in Yeshua the hope of glory and be baptized in Yeshua’s name for the remission of sins. Only then will you have obeyed God and been begotten again of the water and spirit. Eternal life is still being offered to all who want it who yearn for God. Think about it you still have no true peace and you have no fulfillment within, that hole is only filled by Yeshua. Please seek Him before it’s all over. Seek the full scriptures and see what even king David referred to and Isaiah and all the prophets and Moshe who wrote of Yeshua coming. He is him the one you have been waiting for but he has come and died and risen again as foretold in prophecy. Run to Him and you will find rest into your souls, tradition will not do that, God wants to be in you and transform you. I love you all. Baruch haba b’shem Adonai. Shalom shalom.

That's Right.if you want to be deep concentration in prayer and focus on a certain lines of prayer.you must close your eyes and find all the answers after wards ...another thing during prayer some people pretend to pray by showing other what they are doing...i dont want that..
