College tuition is at an all-time high. And with AI and technology advancing and the unemployment rates rising, the question of whether or not to go to college is more important than ever. I'd say that in today's world, a college degree is just one piece of the puzzle. And even if you don't have that one piece, it's not the end of the world. There are lots of people out there who became successful and happy despite not having a college degree.
In today's world, it's also valuable to have skills and talents that don't necessarily correlate to your degree. You could have a degree in accounting, but you should also learn things like programming, graphic design, playing instruments etc. Because employers nowadays look for far more than just a degree, with some even completely ignoring your degree. Meaning all the 4 years and tens of thousands of dollars you spent on university could soon be meaningless. Although some careers like doctors, engineers, lawyers etc will still require degrees.

I kind of wish I saw this video earlier. Now that I took a break part way through my Masters, I can see that I was just trying to push the decision back. But I'm kind of committed, so I'm in the middle of trying to continue and get that degree. This time, I plan on taking advantage of any interning I am able to do when I return. Thank you so much for making videos like this. While this is what I chose to do, I feel like if I am able to choose again, I might have just tried to make the most of my time as a student to get the internship and experience and maybe work a little before going back to school. - learning environment is important - duh... some college/uni good others not...

omg this video is the best one ever! it taught me a lot! I'm from tokyo, japan. i got accepted to university but dropped out cuz of illness. since then, I've been using cousera, crashcourse, khan academy, edx, etc to learn because I love learning. i started learning statistics to read psychology papers which I started recently. it's been so interesting. I'm not seeking a job, but this video made me realize I have to learn how to acquire skills and send emails, and get jobs I want to do. thank u so much. it gave me a hope for the future.

I'm a 41years old woman with a bachelor in marketing from france, a bachelor of nutrition from Australia and non of them is fulfilling! It's exhaustingly stressful and scary, these 2 kind of jobs only got me to be stuck in an office chair not seing much of a change on top of troubles with colleagues add to it I'm an introvert (hate going out with my collegues), now I'm thinking either starting a nutrition business (but I don't know how) or jump into another education

I need help, in my country college is free but 100% all of them consider French the only language to educate with which is not good as i only speak english, also i dont really want to get so far from my home town because basically university residencies in my country is as bad as prison, so my goal is to reach major that consider english which are business management and pure english teaching, there is no business management college or any related major any near, + i want to play the guaranteed card (college education) and then with time work on the unguaranteed one, so what yall recommend?
