Hogwarts Legacy is set in the 1890s and follows a student starting at Hogwarts in the fifth year. As the player is starting at the school later than other students, a wizards field guide is given by the Ministry of Magic. Completing sections of this guide through exploration provides additional information and experience points. The player character, who holds the key to an "ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart", is capable of manipulating a mysterious ancient magic, and will need to help uncover why this forgotten magic has suddenly made a resurgence and the ones that are simultaneously trying to harness it.

It's nice to see that Ron's ancestor was deputy headmistress of Hogwarts (same position Professor McGonagall had during his time), and all the more reason why the Sorting Hat would place a Weasley into Gryffindor.

The scene with the horses (I don’t know their name but I know what they do) dropped my jaw. I had to pause the game and come watch it again.

Missed a cutscene, or rather THE cutscene [the Hogwarts reveal) whilst using the bathroom so very glad for this video. Absolutely loving the game so far. Only 2 hours in but still playing. Gonna play all night lol. Amazing game!

The opening was amazing with a lil mystery then freaking unexpected dragon trying to kill you more mystery more death just what I wanted from a Harry Potter game😤🥲
