We always say the most important part of lock picking is learning the correct amount of tension to apply to a lock. But tension control can be difficult to describe to a student. The Sparrows Tension Wheel makes some of the initial learning a bit easier. With a marked wheel, you can see the amount of tension being applied and recommend a Zone.

I mainly like this thing because when raking or picking door locks the tensioner very frequently hits the door frame so you have to tension it in weird awkward ways in order to get it open. This makes it so that never happens.

Does it really work well? Is it somehow worth it? Do you find the readings reliable when doing multiple picks on the same lock?
