Chrystia Freeland, the deputy prime minister and minister of finance, speaks with reporters in Washington D.C., where she is attending the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. She discusses working with other countries to secure an agreement on setting a global minimum tax rate for corporate income, and answers questions on Canada’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the reopening of the Canada-U.S. land border in November.
