I’ve been watching Strictly for years, and I don’t think I’ve ever been happier about someone lifting that glitterball trophy. I’m not from the UK, so I usually don’t know most of the contestants. Let me tell you… getting to know Chris and watching him every week was such a joy. He is so naturally funny and engaging, his dancing was brilliant, but what I love the most about him is his gentle soul that shone through his interactions with the wonderful Dianne. You could tell how much he appreciated her. Those kisses on the back of her hand after every single dance and the genuine “did I do well?” as they embraced got me every time. You did so well, Chris. You really did. And so did you, Dianne. I couldn’t be happier for you two ❤️ Seeing Chris in tears tonight… I was a mess 🥹

This gives me goosebumps. My Dad died of cancer in 1999. This song was one of his favourites as he literally lay on his death bed. 7 years later, on my Dad's birthday, my son was born. He was diagnosed as congenitally blind. He, like Chris, strives to break down barriers and stereotypes. Blind people are no more incredible than sighted folk, but my God, do they work so hard and think outside the box. Chris, you're an inspiration. To my son, you are incredible. ❤
