This guy shows how far you can go on YouTube with a passion and a camera. Very easy to watch, very informative. You don’t need a studio and 20 takes to make a great video when you are natural

Nice rims Jon I’m glad I’m not the only one who makes thumbnails like that 👍🏻

I think more brands should offer a 2.5L size in their range of products as I think this would be a popular size.

That pump sprayer looks identical to an IK pump sprayer.. wonder if they made some sort of deal with IK to make them in red strictly for this autoglym product.

I watch these videos to see how things compare to what I use and If I get blown away by something, I may go onto purchasing it. For a major clean of the wheel (not all the time but usually once post winter and once pre winter) I use EZ Car Care Geo Gel and I have to say I think this is the exact same as the Autoglym offered here, both go on the same, cling the same and foam the same whem stimulated with a brush and both deliver good cleaning properties. What lets Autoglym down is the price, £29.99 for 5L compared to EZ's constant deal of 3X5L for £39.99 meaning you can really bulk buy if you wanted to or buy other generic high consumables. Would be interested to see the 2 products in comparison to see if there is any noticeable differences but for the time being I'll stick to the EZ geo gel.
Fantastic non biased review of yet another product to hit the markets, keep up the good work.

Love the cling on that cleaner.
I have never had a poor performing AG product so will give that a go.
Ttfn.

Thats an apt observation about the sizes Jon. It stands to reason that the prosumer/enthusiasts often get asked for recommendations on products and they aren't wasting their cash on smaller sizes as you said. Providing a product that can be bought economically in larger volumes that prosumers may buy, but a smaller size they can also recommend for the casual pop down to their local users is smart.

Personally, I'd be more on the casual side for this product as maintenance washing with regular car shampoo or rinseless wash does the job on the M4 comp wheels.

It looks effective, but I cant help but think that sprayer ensures that you not only get a good coating over the whole wheel, but also use plenty of product! I'm a Autowheel man myself, I use about 4-6sprays per wheel and work it with a sponge... I use it every wash to keep the build up from getting too far, autofoam it off before cleaning the wheels last. I must have used about 3-4 bottles in 10 years! I'm always amazed at the amount of product that people use, going for the "moar iz better!" approach, where as I'm going "this stuff is vicious, less is better". Anyway, each to their own! Good video!

Straight forward, clear explanation and demonstration of the product. You're right about Autoglym's history in making car care products, which is one of the reasons why I've used them for years.
Thanks for this review and all the other content you've put up over the years!

The best wheel cleaner I've used by a mile is the Bilt Hamb product

I usually use a pressure washer to clean it after spraying with bilt hamber I find it removes 90% of the dirt without having to use brushes.

Infinity Wax Incinerate is very good at shifting baked on brake dust and grime, although it's not a fallout remover. I use it at 10 or 20:1 dilution, depending on how bad the wheels are. It can be used at ratios up to 25:1 so it's value for money. 500ml £8.99

I've not long finished a 2.5 litre bottle of this and I've been really impressed with its ability to give an almost completely contactless wash on my wheels, if you move the car to get the parts facing downwards, it clings on forever and you can easily cover all 4 wheels at one go let them sit and then power wash them off with no worries on it drying ... Not sure if it will be the same in the summer months though .... The pump sprayer fairly eats through the product though that's one downside with the other being the lack of a trigger lock to stop accidentally pressing it as you handle it ....

I liked your comment about their products though Jon and tend to find watching the "detailing" videographers on YouTube that the constant trend seems to be that if if you don't require to sell a kidney and a leg along with one of your kids into slavery to buy a pot of wax etc then the stuffs rubbish .... Price is king and the more expensive it is the better it must be

I love autoglym I don’t understand why people hate them. I am a professional valeter I have used there retail range and used them professionally in there trade range. I agree they test there products for yrs but there products are very good if u buy autoglym u know it work and do the job. I think the 2.5 litre will be a big seller in Halfords. Also people who want buy the 1 litre bottle could buy the 2.5 and keep topping the bottle up good review

I tend to stop at the supermarket and jetwash the wheels off there, that way they dry on the ride home and by the time I’ve got everything out for washing the car, they’ve cooled down and dry ready for the cleaner…noticed I use a tonne of wheel cleaner with the easy spray though!!

Currently £23.99 on Amazon. Gonna get some.
Can I just buy a regular sprayer which is a tenner cheaper than Autoglyms to use with it?

For iron fallout remover I tend to use devilsblood. I have tried others but always tend to go back to devilsblood due to the price, 2.5litres for £19.99 and it does work well. Have you got any recommendations for products to use to get the stubborn burnt on brake dust off of wheels?

50-90 squirts jeeeezuz !!!
I use BH auto wheel, and in the BH hand sprayer / container (I buy 5 litres and top up the smaller sprayer), I use 7 or 8 squirts on each of my 19" OG M2 wheels.
That seems plenty, and it really foams up with the wheel woollies.
As for this Autoglym product, hmmm not impressed, it seems weak as hell, took ages to turn purple, and doesn't seem like it foams up that well either with agitation.
Thank you as always Jon.

Great content. No matter what I try I often find myself returning to Autoglym. I've been uding their products for over 40 years as my uncle got me into their stuff through his trade use. That said, I've been pleased with the new line of turtle wax ceramic stuff snd their new redline wheel cleaner which has been excellent but I'll get some of this autoglym and give it a try 👍🏻not sure about 90 squirts though, I'm a bit tight when it comes to wheel cleaner spraying of product 🤣

Very interesting. Yeah, I'm in the i started cleaning my car with autoglym, but never liked the square bottle or trigger sprayer, or the price of some of the products. This could be worth a look for me, so thanks you for the spotlight on this one. Is that an Ik sprayer, without a trigger lock? If not it looks close, and what is the price comparison between the 2. I;m always running out of wheel cleaner so this would just about do a year for me, without having a crappy bottle and dodgy sprayer.
