I want a commuting pack with sporadic hiking use too. I don't need hydration port, laptop sleeve and don't want that separated rigid back the Stratos has, I prefer a well-made confortable padded mesh back.

My options are: Osprey Escapist 25 (1.02Kg), Deuter Speed Lite 24 (0.77Kg), Patagonia Refugio 28 (0.66Kg) and Altus Denon 25 (0.78Kg and Made in Spain, my Country). Do you have any of them or can help me out? Thanks.

Thanks for the great video. Just as a side note I've heard you say attach shoes to the outside of the bag. How do you do this? Could be a good video on how to pack your bag efficiently as shoes always gets me when packing. I end up using a shoe bag and storing vertically as a lot of bags don't let me store my size 11 (US 12) shoes horizontally!
