The trouble with displaying all your pets in your inventory honestly is it attracts too much attention and you can't get any playing done. You will be stuck in trades forever.
And then there are the really annoying comments like, "You have so many shadow dragons, why can't you just give me one, you won't even notice you're missing one".
Those were earned. Every single one took effort, no you can't have a free shadow dragon.
So.. I just walk around with a few pets that I don't care about that much on display and everything is for trade. It is so much less stressful.
