This song was SO CLOSE to being called "Rabbit" you have no idea... but the hook "Knock Knock Who Cares?" was just too catchy! Also, I can't WAIT until you hear Michael Kovach's performance! IMO, he shows a side of Jax we've never seen before and it's gonna make you feel things... not necessarily GOOD things, but you'll feel things none the less.

In true Gabe fashion, I'm in a hurry because I have to get to the airport so I can fly to LA for a meeting, and also so I can catch my flight to Nashville in two days so Nate and I can drive to Georgia to HOPEFULLY premiere this song at MomoCon which honestly might not even work out because we didn't submit our paperwork in time and all the performing slots are taken up... I love that his voice raises a bit near the end, at the "Knock knock, who's there" from him, almost to cover up his own thoughts. To try and convince himself that he isn't scared, that he isn't cracking like an egg.

I find it interesting how Michael Kovach is mainly doing the part that reflect Jax's hidden feelings that he buries with cruelty and rudeness, like the idea that his actual voice is connected to his actual self.

I think one of the reasons Jax is a sadistic freak is because it's a form of rebellion.
He doesn't play along with Cain's games. He instead with his limited autonomy acts the opposite of family friendly and breaks them. He's a hedonistic absurdist because there's nothing sustainable for a living human being in the Digital Circus. That will create outliers that respond in an extreme way like Jax.
