I ended up with the A6700 and I love it. With the work I'm doing, so far it does not hinder my workflow (especially with the ZV E-10 as my B cam). I do eventually want to step up to full frame, but when I do it will most likely be the FX3 (or its successor).

I've owned my ZV-E1 for weeks, and surprisingly, I haven't encountered any overheating issues, even though I reside in the Philippines (blazingly hot and humid). I purchased an Ulanzi fan for safety, but I haven't had the need to use it. I primarily use the camera for corporate videos and mini short films, and I'm absolutely in love with this camera!

I came across a forum mentioning a potential problem with overheating in a specific batch. Probably the earlier ones.. However, after returning their cameras to Sony for a replacement, the new unit doesn't have any overheating issues anymore. Perhaps that's something worth considering?

*Agreed.* My A7S III is now fully rigged at home on a 'studio setup', while the ZV-E1 is my run-around cam. Love this setup because they obviously have the same sensor/color science so it's easy to bring the footage together. I really do love it. Especially with the 24 f1/4.

ZVE1 is amazing. Even the photos are good. But that 120fps low light capability is amazing in such a small package.
I notice you say you use Slog 3 for run and gun shooting. I struggle with exposure - a video on your technique to get good exposure on run and gun without cards etc would be good.

I’ve been using the ZV-E1 for a quite a while now and it seems to get a bad-rap from some (not all) Sony shooters. I love everything about this little dude and absolutely believe that if Sony put the guts of this camera into a grey body with dual SD slots, full-size HDMI, and a fan, they could call it the “FX3, Mark II” (Mark, of course being in honor of the handsomest guy at Camera Crisis). Hell, they would probably even charge about $4500 USD for the thing and give you a HUGE royalty commission for the use of the term “Mark” in the product line.

I have the ZV E1 as my main camera, this is my first ever, full frame camera. I just ordered the Osmo Pocket 3, I think this would complement the ZV E1 well.

I'm not sure why all the hate other than the price but I just love my ZV-E1. I just got the Viltrox 20mm f/2.8 and it's a great vlogging combo. I use mine in the studio with the 16-35 f/4 in the studio and it does a great job. It really is a great camera that is slightly on the expensive and overheats like a pizza oven in streaming mode. I mean this thing gets really hot in streaming mode but I just work around by using a capture card and all is good. Cheers my friend and happy holidays.

ZV-E1 masterrace. Bought mine 2 months ago and havent had a single moment of regret.

Unmatched video quality for the price, passable if not "great" photo quality for the MP count, crazy good form factor. Truly the budget FX3 with better AI autofocus and IBIS.

I went with A7C II because it’s absolutely the best buy at the moment for a hybrid long living camera for videos and photos with its great 33 megapixel sensor and all AI features and the crop mode.

However, The ZV-E1 is absolutely amazing option for short videos and vlogs. I have been watching the entire youtube to decide about one.. I watched each of your videos like 5 times lol 😅

Final decision:
- Primary Camera: A7C II
- Secondary (future to buy when it’s cheaper) Camera: ZV-E1.

Still thinking to sell my zv-e10 as it was almost never used, and I don’t think it will make high quality B-Rolls.
