A convenient 3-way jig for joining wood

I received a lot of inquiries about the dowel jig I made two years ago, so I decided to re-edit and upload it.
My way of making it makes sense and I can make highly accurate dowel jigs.

Happy CNY! I watched your video on this exact dowel jig 2+ years ago and made myself a same one out of "Ash" with 8mm ball-bearings and stainless steel shafts! I always use it whenever my project requires dowel joinery! However due to the deviation of 8mm dowels' diameter, often 8.2~8.4mm, I need to roll them slightly to fit into the "slot." It's a great drill once, fit & done tool and fits greatly into any drawers! Thank you!

the design of all the machines in this video is just impeccable, I have the materials and tools but even with the guides I don't know where to begin. That's the difference between a master and a greenhorn I guess.

The bearing in the middle is actually a very ingenious design. I have a store bought jig for the same job but the metal bushing guiding the drill started to wear out and I had to retire it. Since the bearing can spin with the bit in this one, it should slow down if not entirely elliminate the wear. Definetly going to build this one for myself. Great video. Keep up the good work!
