I I just received mine after a very long backorder and agree with your assessment. Also I believe they addressed the hardware issue as mine is different. I found it interesting that you considered the weight as a con. I considered it very light weight when compared to other quality racks. For instance the Versahaul weighs in at around 100 lbs as does the high end Black Widow. I can't say enough good things about this rack. It reeks with quality. Great review. Thanks for posting.

I lucked out and found one of these on Facebook Marketplace. Talked the guy down to $350. Your video seems super accurate. I must admit I haven't hauled my bike yet. I'm going to be hauling a Honda CRF300L Rally.

I just need a lock on my carrier for peace of mind. I have the sport model with normal antiwobble and I use retractable ratchet straps way better option for bike tie down. great video

I know this is old but we have had 2 moto totes. One suggestion after years of use is instead of the strap on the rear tire or in addition to it put a strap from footpeg to footpeg under the rack, compress the shock a little and its bomber. It also takes pressure off the forks. I have see that many fork braces brake and or fall off so they are a little sketchy in my opinion.

Nice bit on the justification for one with a pickup. End up with so much gear and tools in my cab that I look homeless because bikes and ramps take up 75% of my box. Been considering going this route to get the box back.

I have a question and hope you can help me. What size front tire is on your bike. Mototote says 5” is the max and my bike has a 5.1” front tire. Thanks and I enjoy your programs.

I'm probably bad at physics, but I would assume this sort of thing is putting a twisting force on a hitch carrier that it isn't designed for? Or is the bike weight simply not enough to be a factor. Other than that it seems like a great solution!

Nice review. I’ve been looking into these more especially with knee surgery coming up...may not be as easy to get the bike out of the truck afterward. Could you use the Stowaway Hitch Tightener instead of the bolt tightener?

why didint you add a bushing to the nut side. keep both sides stable.

What do you do when you ride with your son? I have a 12yr old and looking at the double carrier. I have a 2500 so the run up (especially after a long day) can be steep and challenging. I'm in the exploring my options stage. Enjoy your channel and am about to sell my 300XCW for a YZ250FX.
