Finally, thank you!!! Hard to find a good tutorial these days. Everybody wants to move fast and skip the basics. I would have learned blender 10 years ago if the tutorials were simple and to the point.

We're on 3.1 now, and instead of a "Set Origin to bottom" or something, I've just had to do this on 31 individual cubes.
Why does Blender have so many amazing workarounds for so many things, but such a drawn out process for this?!

To take an uncentered object and put the core at the very center… (without changing its place back to 0, 0, 0) select the object/collection. Go to Object at the top bar on the left. Set origin > origin to geometry.

Thank you! I just wanted someone to quickly answer this one question and didn't want to sit through a 7 or 12 minute tutorial to get the answer

Thanks for the help. Sometimes I feel the menus are a bit counter intuitive, but this cleared things up.

how do you set the origin point to the bottom (or top, or corner etc) to a GROUP of objects all together?? When I select them all and hit Control-Option-X (to launch the Pie menu) and then hit "origin to bottom", it either does nothing at all, or it sets the origin to bottom on the first object I had selected only... THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING (when there are MANY objects that you need to set the origin to the bottom for)... Any ideas??

I have an model that is rotated and I want to set the current rotation to the new zero rotation without the object rotating, how would I do that?
