Omg, thanks so much! Literally 5 minutes into a new hobby and was sitting down to watch a beginner video and realized I couldn't even start because I couldn't find where to start! You saved the day 👏👏👏

A method that I have used when pulling yarn from the outside of the skein is to take the outside label off and mount the skein on a paper towel holder and as you knit or crochet the skein turns quite easily.

This is so very helpful. I wish I would have seen it a few skeins ago.

Thank you so much for pointing this feature out. I just looked on my Red Heart label, and sure enough, it shows this feature. As many years as I have crocheted, I have just learned something new. Thank you soooo much!

I really appreciate the tips as I have🤗 had more than my share of frustration with tangled yarn when trying to find the elusive end!

Full of doubt knitter when I started this video but by golly, your tips helped me finally find a tail! I had tried and failed for quite a while with 3 skeins of same WOTASWbulky yarn, exploring w a flashlight, pulling prodding, both skien ends, for quite some time w/out success. Once I used your tip of focusing my attention on the correct end, coupled with less fear about what to do with the yarn innards I was pulling out while on a deep search, helped me finally find a tail!! Went on fm my find to finally wind a cake 👍🏻 Thanks for the help and confidence to go forth and figure it out. Will be back when I'm looking for assistance.

Thank you for sharing. I have skeins of I Love This Cotton yarn and am having to pull the guts of the skein out just like the Bernat skein. Aggravating to say the least🧶❤

Thank you so much for this! After struggling with three skeins of wool, your video helped me find the correct end so that I could pull from the centre. *Bless you* for a clear tutorial!

I also love the tip about red heart as I have used it for two years and never knew they told you where to look.

A tip to go along with this is one my mum told me. Is, after finding the end pop, the ball in a zip lock bag. Close it nearly all the way across, leaving an inch open where the wool you're working with can be popped through. Keeps the ball in one place & clean, free from your cats playing & adding their own fur to the mix.

Thank you SO much for this! I usually give up if the first 2 methods don’t work but you gave me the knowledge and courage to dig right into a stubborn skein and it was such a delight to find the end! Like winning a needle-in-a-haystack competition. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
